The company was established in 1820 by my ancestor Severino Betancort, being afterwards inherited from parents to children until 1980, the year in which my father transferred it to me under the name Severino Brown Betancort. His worked as a shipbuilder on the African Western Coast.

In 1980, due to the difficulties with the African fishing-ground, we decided that the future of the activity service had to concentrate on the sector, which means, to sell and to buy fish in the Archipelago.

In 1982 Panamerican Fish Co. was born and became a European company with the name: Panamerican Fish, S.L.U the 6 May, 1999.

Seeing the future of the globalisation, we decided to initiate the adventure of being an international company. For that reason we established an office in Seville and we began to work on the Iberian Peninsula and in Portugal.

In 1985 we began to have good relations with the National China Fisheries Corporation. Thanks to this, the company began to export to China, and, at the same time, to export fish that his market asked and to import fish that was demanded in Europe.

After this experience and many trips to China, the company began a relation with Asia. In addition, we worked with the Dutch, Irish and Spanish fleet.
